My new and exciting foliage gardens, unique as far as I know, have been made possible by the quiet revolution that has been going on in the plant breeding industry. The way I use foliage plants was originally inspired by the way artist and garden designer Gertrude Jekyll used to use flowering plants. This coupled with the new external paints and stains now available can make for some truly remarkable gardens.
